Sanskrit Bridge Course: A Strong Bridge to a New Beginning.

संस्कृतं नाम दैवी वाक्।

— Sanskrit is the divine language.

Sanskrit is not merely a language; it is an invaluable repository of India’s culture, wisdom, philosophy, and timeless values. With the objective of connecting every student to this rich heritage, Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, has made the study of Sanskrit compulsory from Nursery to Grade 8 through the Deva Bhasha curriculum.

Why a bridge course

A strong bridge for every new learner.

Every year, the school welcomes many new students, several of whom have had no prior exposure to Sanskrit. To ensure that these students do not face any difficulty in learning the language, the school successfully conducts a Sanskrit Bridge Course for students from Grades 1 to 8. This course serves as a strong bridge, helping new learners transition smoothly into the study of Sanskrit.

Through the Bridge Course, students are introduced to the Sanskrit alphabet, correct pronunciation, simple vocabulary, basic grammar, and elementary sentence construction. Learning is made engaging through interactive activities, conversations, and practice exercises.

Experienced teachers carefully support each student according to their individual learning pace and needs, enabling them to develop the confidence required to join regular Sanskrit classes successfully. As a result, students develop a genuine interest in Sanskrit and begin to absorb the language with ease.
